The server is hosted at GoDaddy and does not have a dedicated IP.
The client purchased http://oldbakeryideathon.org from Rackspace.
Assumably, I should be able to point the new domain to the top-level domain (publicworkshop.us) and the domain mapping plugin should re-route it to the sub-domain for the site. I have it mapped in the plugin already.
DNS records for the new domain (http://oldbakeryideathon.org):
- @ is set to redirect to oldbakeryideathon.publicworkshop.us with masking (this is just a landing page for now, so this is a temporary solution, but it works, however I can’t pass sub-directories on this domain as a limitation of the company the domain was purchased through.)
- www CNAME publicworkshop.us (this isn’t resolving, as you can check here)
- * CNAME publicworkshop.us (also not working)
What am I doing wrong. I need to have this sorted out relatively quickly as I’ll need sub-directories for http://oldbakeryideathon.org to pass properly for further development.
