 * I tried both Advanced Migration and Simple Migration to migrate from one domain
and server to another. With advance migration uploading the zip-files seemed
to be success except two. But the backup directory on the target server was empty.
With simple migration all files semmed to be uploaded successfully, but stil
no files in the target backup directory. I could not either check the settings,
since these are no loger available. It seems this plugin is ment for migration
   to only one server.

 * Does your FTP account have access to the root directory? If not, you need to
enter the full path to the backup directory, starting from the top directory
that your FTP account has access to.
 * For instance, if your FTP account has only access to `/var/www/` and you have
WordPress installed there, then you should type `/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-
move/backup/` to the Remote Backup Path field on WordPress Move Settings page.
 * If you typed it wrong on the WordPress Move Settings page, it is most probably
directed to the default directory of your account, depending on your server configuration.

 * The concept of this plugin is very good! But there are some details to fix. I
probably used an illegal path, but theres is no longer possible to change it.
And why does it say success when it is not? I don’t find the files anywhere.
I’ll try to move the backups manually by ftp.

 * It is possible actually, since neither Simple nor Advanced Migration methods
make any changes on the actual installation. You can retry as many times as you
   want.
 * File uploads are handled by a library called PemFTP which comes with WordPress
by default. It only says it was successful when it really is. If you type a wrong
path to that field, your server will either move your backup files to your home
directory (or somewhere else) or it will delete it. Unfortunately there is nothing
WordPress Move can do about it.

 * It is not possible to change the path without first removing the plugin and reinstall
   it.

 * When I deleted backups from the old site, I got a lot of these messages:
 * Warning: unlink(/home/…/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-move/
backup/DBBackup-13210452171.sql) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory
   in /home/…./public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-move/wordpress-
   move.php on line 1466

 * It is possible. Just go to WordPress Move Settings page and change it?
 * Did you delete the plugin after opening the Backup Manager? Because deleting
the plugin means deleting the whole wordpress-move directory and therefore the
backup files. Since there are no backup files to delete, it throws an error.

 * I use to install WordPress on a subdirectory, wordpress, under the domain ([http://old-domain.com/wordpress](http://old-domain.com/wordpress)).
That means the Site address and the Home adress are different. I wrote the Site
   address ([http://new-domain.com/wordpress](http://new-domain.com/wordpress))
where the plugins says New domain. After restoring the database, the Site address
   became [http://new-domain.com/wordpress/wordpress](http://new-domain.com/wordpress/wordpress)
   and the Home address [http://new-domain.com/wordpress](http://new-domain.com/wordpress),
so there is an extra level which does not work. It must be clear which address
to use – home address or where WordPress is installed.
 * I also had a problem that I had to write the New domain each time (while the
password was remembered). I once forgot because it is hidden until you press
   change domain.

 * You should have written your **Domain Name** ([http://old-domain.com](http://old-domain.com))
not your Site Address or WordPress Address, especially if those two are not identical.
On every page it says Domain Name, how come it is not clear?

 * I finally made it! It took me about 10 tries and some hours, but it worked when
I did everything right. If you could just make it easier to make everything right,
this is a really grat plugin!

 * It says “Please enter the exact path to your WordPress installation …”. My exact
path to the WordPress installation is [http://new-domain.com/wordpress](http://new-domain.com/wordpress)
