[Plugin: WordPress Mobile Edition] Database Crashing – Deactivated This – Solved the Problem

I dont know why Alex, and didnt think it could be this plugin, but my database has crashed/timed out/error establishing connect, etc… several times over the past several weeks with “max users connected” error messages in phpmyAdmin, and the last 2 times, I narrowed it down in particular to this plugin. Does it make any sense why this would happen. Basically, it seems that there are real slow queries, many of which do not close. I am on mediatemple. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do to explain what is happening. However, I troubleshooted 1 plugin at a time and this one, once deactivated, solved the problem. Odd, cause I pride myself on having plugins from you Alex. Thanks in advance.

I may have jumped the fun on this. There is one other plugin that may be the culprit. Running query analyzer and will update this thread when I have more information. Sorry for sounding the alarms. Will be back shortly..

Well, it does appear that this was one of the problems. Additionally, if you upgrade to 2.8.1, which I have since reverted, this plugin as well as the simple tags plugin cause a blank screen. I verified this myself but there are others pointing that out as well – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/288440?replies=12

Not sure if anyone is reading this, but I deactivated the plugin and have had no problems with my database since doing so. Too bad as it was a nice plugin.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble, but don’t believe this plugin could cause any of these issues.
