    The plugins works and I think is perfect for my theme, but canĀ“t figure it out how to show the tags like the caption of the image do.

    Thanx for any help.

    How are you displaying the tags at all? I can't even get them to show up..

    I'm using:

    <?php if (class_exists('wp_media_tags_plugin')) { wp_media_tags_plugin::media_tags_query('portait', 'thumbnail'); }?>

    in the meta div for single.php. The post attachment has the media tag "portrait". But nothing shows up. I think this may be what you mean.

    Is there another way to show the tags?

    media categories plugin did it for me, although I'm using the category taxonomy instead of tags.

    if you install it, just add this to functions.php

    add_filter('mc_taxonomy', 'mc_filter_taxonomy');
    function mc_filter_taxonomy($taxonomy){
        if($taxonomy == 'category'){
            $taxonomy = 'post_tag';
        return $taxonomy;

    then tags should be available and display for media attachments.
