[Plugin: WordPress Importer] Installing Importer breaks my whole site

    I need to import blog posts from an old WP site to a new site. I exported the posts and clicked on the import button on the new site and it told me to install the WP importer plugin. Once I installed the plugin and activated it, the whole site crashed and I had to delete the plugin. I am using the Enterprise Child Theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
