If you add get_num_queries() to your footer.php you'll see that after enabling this plugin you get about 100 extra mysql queries on each pageload.

My frontpage (http): 37 queries in 0,276 seconds
With this plugin enabled (http): 130 queries in 0,498 seconds.

    Please fix this bug

It's not a bug. I will consider creating a "Lite" version.

Your plugin is great, very easy to use, but this "feature" really overloads the server.
There must be a way to cache or optimize or join the queries or at least stop them on non-ssl pages. Maybe saving some data in arrays in one transient can help.
Please, try to do something with it if you can, thank you.

The issue is the plugin is querying URL's to see if the URL's map to pages. Each check is query. The more URL's on your pages, the more queries there are. I am looking for ways to cache results or something, but it's not an easy problem to solve.
