 * Hi Mike,
 * I had just updated the plugin to 3.0.2 and i noticed that the latest version
   fixes the HTTP error in media… but only thing is whenever i keep the plugin deactivated
   and the image in post that shows in HTTPS and the post is not in HTTPS it’s http(
   i’m only using SSL for admin area not full site) but when i activate it back
   then the https turns into http for image in post… I wanted to upload the image
   in http not https when the plugin is activated how should i do it?
 * thanks

 * Hey Sulaiman,
 * When you use the images, you should be able to change the URL’s to your front-
   end address. I’m not sure if there’s going to be an easy way to make it not do
   that. I’ll have to play around with the code.
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * You mean i need to change the front-end url to https? Since now i’m not using
   HTTPS for front-end i’m only using HTTPS on the Administrator area… Like the
   one on WordPress.com… let me example you clearly…
 * On the 2.0.4 is very similar to WordPress.com’s SSL you see on the media file
   that shows “File URL” you can see when you upload an image you will see it’s
   http (for the image) and the admin area is HTTPS…. Here are the differences from
   2.0.4 and 3.0.2 plus compared with wordpress.com
 * This one [http://f.cl.ly/items/271j2K3y1s3d2C3e270n/Voila_Capture87.png](http://f.cl.ly/items/271j2K3y1s3d2C3e270n/Voila_Capture87.png)
   is from WordPress HTTPS 2.0.4

   is the latest WordPress HTTPS 3.0.2
 * This one is WordPress.com [http://f.cl.ly/items/3D0p2i3w421m3f002I3L/Screen%20Shot%202012-04-22%20at%201.05.29.png](http://f.cl.ly/items/3D0p2i3w421m3f002I3L/Screen%20Shot%202012-04-22%20at%201.05.29.png)
 * I hope above links of images will be helpful for you to understand… I’ve look

 * Hey Sulaiman,
 * No, when you reference the image in a post or something, use the HTTP Url. Even
   if a file does load over HTTPS, it doesn’t break anything. Try it out and if
   the images load over HTTPS on the front-end on non-HTTPS pages, I can easily
   make the plugin auto-correct that.
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * How could you make the auto-correct? like the one on 2.0.4 is better because
   the image loads as http on non-https pages… as i’m not using SSL on front-end
   due to using CDN so my CDN provider doesn’t offer SSL support for my package
   that’s why i had secured SSL for admin area to protect… Please let me know how
   could i fix the File URL? If you needed the login details please provide me the
   email address so i can send you one test version…
 * Thanks

 * Hey Sulaiman,
 * Where and how are you using the files? Just because the URL is secure in the
   Media Library doesn’t mean that’s how you have to use it.
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * Hi Mike,
 * I’m using the wordpress default placed path but the images, css and scripts are
   served to the CDN… But i’m worried if the SSL expired i will lost all the images
   that are secured with HTTPS by the WordPress HTTPS plugin which changes the path
   to HTTPS on upload so it would be difficult to change all the url back to http…
 * Let me know if you could make me that changes so i can provide you the login
   detail for wordpress.

 * Hey Sulaiman,
 * The path show in the Media Library isn’t important. The only reason it appears
   secure is because all the references to the current site are being filtered in
   the admin panel.
 * All of the images can still be used with their HTTP path. Just make sure that
   when you add images to pages that you make the paths HTTP. But, like I said,
   I can make the plugin do that if that’s all you’re asking for. That’s easy.
 * Thanks,
    Mike

 * Alright sure… I’d ask for it 🙂 could you provide me the email then you can customise
   the plugin like the above mentioned one…

 * Hey Sulaiman,
 * Overwrite your copy of WordPress HTTPS with this copy hosted on [github](https://github.com/Mvied/wordpress-https/zipball/master).
   Let me know if you have any images on your public site that are still loading
   over HTTPS.
 * Thanks,
    Mike
