Support » Plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL) » [Plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] Infinite loop issue caused by theme?

  • Hi There,

I’m having an issue with a theme causing the infinite redirect loop. I use this plugin on all my shop sites that have private SSL to stop them from forcing everything to be https, but one of my sites I just cannot get it to work.

I’m positive it’s a theme issue, since it works flawlessly on other sites with the same cart software and server config. Where exactly in a themes files, could I look to find the cause of this infinite loop? would it be something in the functions.php? any help would be hugely appreciated!

    Hey youkay,

Apologies for taking so long to respond.

I would definitely check the functions.php. I can’t imagine it would be anywhere else, but it’s possible. Also check to make sure it’s not being caused by another plugin.

For situations like these, I generally use a code editor like Notepad++ to perform a “Find in files” search. I’ll download the theme to my computer and then do a search in all the theme files for “redirect”. It’s a lot easier than mulling through all of the theme files.
