Hey Thanks for updating this is a great plugin it will be uber useful.

We ran through everything we have the plugin set up and it works as before
but we are still having the same issue on the google maps page. We set force ssl on all the pages when we have pages that don’t have the check mark ssl option on every page and have the force ssl in the plugin every page that isn’t checked says it is not able to load. We actually load the home through index but we also load the carousels through posts and we have another part of the home as a post so it’s really a hybrid. Let me know if you have any thoughts. Basically though if we have the force ssl option enabled any page that doesn’t have the force ssl
checked won’t load at all but if we deactivate that option it loads as before but warns on the
maps page. So back to square one :P. How could you have one page in a site load http and another load https Isn’t this impossible? This is my weakest subject.

You’ll have to show me an example of it not loading at all, because I need to see what kind of message you’re getting, if any. In this update, I did change the way in which the redirects work, but I changed it to use native WordPress functionality, so I figured it would work better than the way I had it before. I may need to revert this change if this is the problem.

As for your home page, how you do it doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the HTML output, not the way in which it’s created. If you’re using a static page, you check Force SSL on that page. If you’re using latest posts, you use the HTTPS Front Page option in the plugin. It’s pretty much as simple as that.

As I said before, it is impossible to have your Google Maps page be secure without a Google Maps API Premier account. The Google Map simply will not load over HTTPS, and this causes the page to become insecure.

Absolutely anything that can be accessed over HTTP can be accessed over HTTPS. With that, there is nothing, be default, that says “This whole site must be HTTPS.” One of the roles that this plugin assumes is dictating what pages should and shouldn’t be HTTPS.

This whole SSL thing really isn’t as complicated as you think. If a page is HTTPS and something on that page is loaded over HTTP, the page is insecure. If everything on the page loads over HTTPS, the page is secure. That’s it.

Don’t forget to get me a screenshot or something of what your site is doing when it doesn’t load.

Whoops! wrong thread HEHE. OK I will set it up and send you the link.
