I just updated this plugin to one of my sites & the fonts no longer work. I also can’t access the Plugins sections in my version of WordPress. Whenever I try to access it I get this message:

Warning: opendir(/home/kawaiivi/public_html/wp-content/uploads/fonts/) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/kawaiivi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/font-uploader/includes/functions.php on line 14

Warning: readdir() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/kawaiivi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/font-uploader/includes/functions.php on line 20

So in order to even deactivate the plugin I’ll have through FTP to remove it. I hope this bug is fixed very soon, I like this plugin and want to continue to use it.

Sorry about that. I just found the bug and have fixed it. Please go update to v1.3.1.

I was able to install the new plugin, but when I went to add a font I kept getting “Invalid file name.” Luckily I have the previous working version of this plugin so I can reinstall that. Is anyone else getting an invalid file name message? I’m trying to upload a .ttf file

What kind of font are you trying to upload?

I’m trying to upload the MankSans. It’s is .ttf file and haven’t had problems uploading it before.

Most likely the reason you’re having trouble uploading it now is because I implemented several security checks to ensure the mimetypes of the files are correct.

Just as a test, can you download a font from fontsquirrel.com and see if it gives you the same error?

You can also upload fonts manually by using FTP and placing the fonts in wp-content/uploads/fonts/

Hi-I did what you suggested and still getting the Invalid File Type message.

Hmmm. Are you able to upload via FTP for the time being as I mentioned above? I will have to spend some more time tracking that issue down.

I uploaded the font through FTP and it shows up in my layout. But for whatever reason the font isn’t being shown in any of the drop down options. Luckily my settings from the previous release hadn’t changed, but shouldn’t all the fonts in the folder show up in the drop down menus?

Can you show me the complete path to the folder where you uploaded via FTP?

The new version of the plugin uses a different folder for storing fonts, though it also reads fonts from the old location, so yes, all files should show up in the drop down.

Here’s the complete path that I uploaded to:

    /public_html/wp-content/uploads/fonts/

What’s the other folder that the new version uses-maybe if I manually upload the fonts to that folder they’re show up in the menus?

Thanks for your help in all of this by the way. LOVE this plugin!

That is the correct path for the new fonts folder.

The other folder that it uses is

    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/font-uploader/fonts/

But you have to be careful with uploading to that folder because your fonts could possibly be overwritten when you update the plugin, which is why I changed the location. Give it a try though.

Hi-Thanks for the info. I manually uploaded the font into the other fonts folder but it’s still not showing up in any of my drop down menus.

That’s just bizarre. Any chance you can send me admin login info via my email? pippin(at)pippinsplugins(dot)com
