    You can be inspired by stats plugins that are available for wp e-commerce.
    Also no need to reinvent the wheel, may be an integration with Slimstat plugin, that allows to create custom statistics, could speed up the work.
    In any case, graphical stats are something that a serious e-commerce software need.
    If you decide for a custom work, should be better to include it in your menu panel, not in dashboard, so admin can have all grouped and cozy.

    Definitely, a dashboard widget might be a nice extra but the stats should definitely get their own individual page along with filters for sorting stats.

    The plugin’s under active development and your eurocents are well considered.
