[Plugin: WordPress Download Monitor] Default Permalinks & Prettier URLs

I’m using the default permalink, and while not descriptive they’re not ungodly long. Unfortunately that apparently means I can’t use the custom URL option. Why does it not work with the default? Is there no possible way to make the URL better? I really dislike using the path to the plugin and I can’t really switch permalink types as a lot of sites in the community link to individual posts on my site frequently.

Otherwise I’m really liking the plugin so far 😉
