# [Plugin: WordPress Automatic upgrade] general problems with this plugin

 * hey there.
    this plugin tells me it cannot write to my wordpress installation
   folder, but thats not true. what exactly does the plugin check?
 * I always do a chown -R user:www-data on my web folder so it is owned by the www-
   data group which is the group apache2 runs on my server followed by a chmod -
   R 775 and your plugi nis still reporting it cannot write to the folder, so please
   tell me what checks does this plugin do, to decide whether it can or cannot write
   to my web folder?
 * If I give it my FTP credentials I get this error/warning:
