WordPress version: 3.4.2
Wordfence version: 3.2.7
Using local server WAMP:
I updated my wordpress and installed a theme on a local server using wamp. Downloaded wordfence from wordpress.org.
Ran a scan using the free api key , and the scan got as far as :Sending request to Wordfence servers to do main scan.
Then i received the following error message:
Error message: We received an error response when trying to fetch binary data from the Wordfence scanning server using file_get_contents: Array
I have switched off my antivirus and firewall and ran the scan again with the same response. I have changed my api key to another free key via your website. I have now ran the scan 5 times throughout today and still get the same error message.
I have logged this as an issue on your website with no reply as yet.

I’ve updated the report you posted on our site with the following:
Just wanted to update this. We’re still working on a fix, but after examining the issue I realized that you can probably fix it yourself by installing “curl” on your server. Wordfence is detecting that the PHP library known as “curl” is not installed and is using the “file_get_contents()” built in function instead. Try installing Curl and that should fix it.
In the mean time we’ll fix it on our end so that file_get_contents also works.
