Hi there, I’ve already asked Stephen Atty, author of wordbooker (http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=254577506873&topic=17688&post=93439), but he is not using any fb-connector on his installation, so I’d like to relay my question on this board. Hopefully there is someone who could help me out?!
For a customer I need to upgrade his system to wp 3.1 from 2.8.6.
He is using WP-FacebookConnect (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-facebookconnect/), but this plugin is using an old FB-API, and it’s obviously no longer supported by the author. The last update was in july, so before WP3 was released, and it’s not (official) compatible to 3.x.
As I understand it right, “the” or any facebook-connecter is above all to register a new account (or login a already existing account) on wp as a normal user (without any big rights) and first of all to write a comment.
Due to the fact, WP-FacebookConnect is not up2date, I’d like to install a newer/better plugin, that contains the same conditions. AND I’d like also to install wordbooker (I made good experiences on my personal blog). I know, there always exist some troubles using different plugins to offer facebook-socialplugins. So:
Which FB-Connector is to prefer? Which is working side-by-side with Wordbooker? Is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-facebook-connect/ okay, or another plugin?
