Hi I want to have a default image – not all of my posts have images. I tried to add a FBCDN image – the profile image for my page to it and got a whole load of errors and no posting.

What IS a ‘Default Open Graph Image’? I looked at the PDF manual and it doesn’t explain what this is either or how I can find one? Not very helpful unless you are incredibly well versed with FB dev speke!

  • Error was: (#100) FBCDN image is not allowed in stream:

Ahh worked it out, bit confusing? You put the full image link but it *can’t* be on Facebook as I assumed – Open Graph is a bit misleading, it’s just a normal URL off your server – ie. http://yourdomain.com/mydefaultimage.jpg etc. Can be in the WordPress content too, as long as you use the image URL.

FB dont allow you to use FBCDN images in your og tags – I strip them out in the main code but not there. Maybe I need to update the documentation.
