    Hello,

I use the plugin Woocommerce Subscription.

When a subscription arrives on the due date, an order is created in Woocommerce orders, but the old order remains on the status “in progress”.

This means that when a customer pays his renewal, he has two orders in progress (the new and the old), so why the old does not automatically go “finished” ?

    Hi @gamco ,

WooCommerce Subscriptions is our premium extension for which we provide support through WooCommerce.com. For a swift reply, you can always get in touch with from the form at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

All orders in WooCommerce go into Processing status once the order is placed successfully, except those that only contain products which are both Virtual and Downloadable.

That is a cue for store owners to manually put the orders in Completed status after they have shipped/fulfilled the order. So you will need to put the orders in Completed status manually after shipping the product.

We have more details on managing orders here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/

    I hope this helps!

    Hello,

    Thanks for your help.
    I understand the problem better.
My subscriptions are not set to “virtual”, that’s why. While in reality my subscriptions are to publish ads on my site, so these are virtual products.

Do you think that I can modify my products to put them in “virtual” without this being a problem on the current subscriptions?

    Hi there,

Since we have a separate support channel for customers of our premium extensions. I’d recommend reaching out to us via https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ for further help on WooCommerce Subscriptions.

Since this is not related to the WooCommerce plugin, I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
