[resolved] Plugin doesn't translate when WP_LANG isn't nl_NL (3 posts)

When you install woocommerce-nl on an English WordPress (or any other language except Dutch) the plugin will not translate woocommerce. Off course this is how it should work but it can be confusing for the user.

Maybe it is a good idea (and this should be handy to in the gravityforms-nl plugin) to check if WP_LANG is set to nl_NL when a user activates the plugin, if not display an error message.

    Great plugin!!! Thanks Pronamic!

Yes... Same "problem" here. It would be nice if we could change the frontend language to dutch. I'm always working in the english backend.

    Kind Regards

@Rein sorry for the late reply, but thanks for the suggestion. We get quite often support question on this issue. An notice in the WordPress dashboard could be an good idea. I'm however not sure how good this will work good in combination with an WordPress network installation or with the WPML plugin.

@Andy we just follow WordPress and the way translations work in WordPress. As far as i know WordPress has no default option to configure the frontend and backend language separately.
