[resolved] Woocommerce product grid view VS list view (39 posts)

    Hi MattPrice1707 -

I did create a little bit of a no-code-required hack for this for my client using Abundance theme. Wonderful theme, not responsive at this time though.

In that theme, and probably many/most others as well, you can use the Grouped Products feature to display a list of products with an Add to Cart button next to each product, on a Single Product page.

    The manual parts are:

    1) Manually grouping desired products on the master Single Product page (the page you want to display that shows the grouped products in the view I originally described)

    2) Hiding the individual single products from the Catalog using "Hidden" from the "Visibility" field which is conveniently available on the Products quick edit view. If you don't hide these products, they display WITHOUT the grouping.

Hope that helps point you in the right direction. I'd share the result but my client has their site in maintenance mode. Should be live soon. I will post a link when they launch the site.

The-Croupier or soumya12345 you seem to have figured it out... Can you please share this with us? Really cannot find someone to do this.

Hey did this get figured out. I need to list all my products on one page with no images. Any joy?

Here's an example of the result I was seeking, which was accomplished using what I described in my earlier comment:

If this result is what you're seeking, you can use Abundance theme with the ideas I mentioned above to achieve this result without messing with any PHP or too much CSS.

@thebrakelights your website looks good and I would like to try what you did on one of the free woo themes. Would you please explain every single step with some pics if you can ? I'm really new with the whole things and I do not know how to deal with the woocommerece and I want to do something like what you did or like the one here:

I was trying so hard to do something like the following but I give up :-(

I hope someone can help me here

Excellent site, I am impressed, I did try the method you mentioned, unfortunately it doesn't work on all types of products for me, we are using woocommerce extension called "Name your price", this allows our donors to donate as much they would lie by providing an text box for the price, this is the only one that is not working in group product and this is our main requirement as well

@zafi - Thank you, I wish I could help you. Maybe mention it to WooThemes?

@hippocrates1985 - That Superstore theme looks a lot like the effect you were going for with the KMart site, but the user experience with the WooTheme is better since the user isn't directed to the shopping cart right away like the KMart site. It's a pretty theme too. Just my 02. Sorry I don't have the time to provide more information about the process I used, but mileage tends to vary between themes. I've had good experiences with WooThemes. Good luck.

    yahoo, there is hope!

I am looking to something similar. my client sent me these two images to describe what she is looking for.

    columns across the top:
    Image | Product | Price | Quantity

She wants to list ALL or just a sub category based on a menu on the left.

Also, i believe I can use the woocommerce short code to provide the summary on the right hand side. " [woocommerce_cart] "

Anyone have any other success at this?
