# plugin won’t update

 * Hello,
    This past weekend the plugin said there was an update, but when I tried
   to update it? what happened is that the site went into maintenance mode and got
   stuck there for a very long time, and then, afterward, the plugin remained un-
   updated. This happened several times. Today I tried again – same results. Please
   fix the issue. Thank you, Vera

 * Thank you for using Caldera Forms.
 * When you are updating plugin files by re-uploading you will need to remove and
   delete the plugin first before you can upload the later version.
 * You are also able to upload plugin files via FTP which will give you the option
   to overwrite the plugin files.

    Why did you assume I was reuploading? I was updating
   from the Dashboard, as I do all the plugins.

 * Please let the person asking the question decide whether the topic is “Resolved”,
   because it isn’t – but you marked it so.
    Even now it wouldn’t update.
