What a great plugin. It does everything I need – except… the admin page is not showing another important plugin menu item on the left hand panel (on a new row under ‘Settings’).
The other plugin is very useful for my client as it’s a Calendar plugin which allows him to add forthcoming game fixtures to his American Football website. But the configuration for the ‘editor’ profile doesn’t allow him to see the Calendar plugin menu item on the admin page and he therefore is unable to make changes. Shame, as it means I have to add the games for him (which defeats the whole idea of a CMS site), or I use another white label plugin altogether.
I had a look at the coding to see if I could add the plugin menu item in somewhere myself (hardcoded) but it’s beyong me.
Sorry not really. If a plugin is set up so it requires admin access, I would take it up the issue with that plugin.
Sorry about that.
I’m sorry. You don’t understand. The other plugin “Ajax Event Calendar” is just a normal plugin like many others. The settings for the plugin show on the left hand side panel where the other menus for admin show, such as “Tools” “Users” “Media” “Settings” etc. When I log in as an ‘administrator’ I can see the menu item “Calendar” under the “Settings” option on the left hand panel of admin. But when I log in as ‘editor’ (which is how my client would log in) then I can see the other menu options, such as “Media” “Tools” “Users” etc, but I cannot see the ‘Calendar’ option on the left hand options panel.
This is nothing to do any problems with the Calendar plugin. It’s to do with your plugin NOT showing some menu options in addition to those that should show when an editor logs on.
I hope that is now clear?
I am sorry I not sure I fully understand what this has to do with our plugin.
I did a completely fresh install of WordPress and installed “Ajax Event Calendar”, but did not install White Label CMS. And it appears in the sidebar when logged in as admin.
Then logged in as the Editor, the Calendar menu is not there.
Which I think is the situation that you are describing, and this happens without White Label CMS being installed.
Am I missing something here?
