[Plugin: Web Optimizer] problems, features and suggestions

    just wondering: works fine so far, just some plugins are giving trouble, especially wp-wall. wp-wall itself works fine, but if there is another js loaded it freaks out and breaks.

    can you also implement some features from other plugins?

    i.e. php speedy shows you a list of all css and js files in the backend, making it easier to exclude, right now I have to deactivate wp optimizing features, load my page, see all css and js fiels that are being loaded, go back to the back end and add them to the exclusion list…

    also, the Minify HTML (remove whitespaces) features won’t work. it breaks my images, smileys, etc. 🙁 they all show the same image…

    @ovidiu; please give me the URL of your website — and we will check HTML Minify for this document.

    We will definitely add a number of tools to debug Web Optimizer actions but now we are just choosing the best way to perfrom this. I.e. there can be ‘prewiew’ where you can (semi) automatically debug all plugin features.

    Also please note that Web Optimizer plugin for WordPress isn’t the main branch of the product, it’s just an ‘envelope’ for main functionality.

    I am playing around with the plugin for testing purposes here: http://pacura.ru

    the plugin is activated with the following features:

    Combine JavaScript files
    Minify JavaScript files
    Minify with JSMin (from Douglas Crockford)
    Minify and combine CSS files
    Combine CSS files inside <body>
    Enable external JavaScript merging
    Enable inline JavaScript merging
    Enable external styles merging
    Enable inline styles merging
