    Hello,

Thanks for the free plugin. I am using it mainly so that backupbuddy plugin works. As my sites are hardly used at the moment but i am trying to get into good habits with scheduled backups. They said to use this so that activity from the tracking will trigger the scheduled backups.

I have installed the plugin on my sites, i have created an account on your website and generated an API, this API has been added to the plugin in each website i own.

Despite all my sites now having the API code in the plugin, there is no confirmation in the plugin that it is working, it still has the same message to enter an API code ( i have all 3 checkboxes ticked). Also, the only place i can see a mention of the plugin is in the settings menu, is there no option to track activity in the plugin itself or do i just have to rely on your website to track them?

I feel like i am missing something here… please help.

    Thank you

    Hi,

I don’t completely understand your question. I’m having the impression your mixing two plugins.

Backup buddy is a plugin I’ve never checked out, but I don’t think that it would depend on my plugin to work.

Could you explain me a bit further what the issue is, do you maybe have some screenshots so I can see what happens and what your trying to do?

    Regards, Niels

    Hi there,

My reason for installing the plugin is that its querying of my websites counts as activity on my sites. My sites are all basically unused at the moment and i am trying to get into the good habit of having them all auto backup on schedule using backup buddy.

Currently the only way i can see to monitor the sites is via https://uptimerobot.com/ in a browser. It is working and i can see the info for my sites in there.

The only place i can see about uptimerobot in wordpress is in settings, the area where you add the API key.

I just thought i was missing something, as i could not find a wayto view uptime information on the backend of the websites themselves. This may just be how is is setup, if so please excuse my ignorance. I just thought i was missing something.

I am able to view it no problem via the browser and it is triggering my scheduled backups so it isn’t a big issue really

I have attached a message from backup buddy to give you a bit of context of what im doing. Thank you.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay, did you already solve your issue? What you want to do won’t be done by my plugin. I think that even Uptime Robot alone would not trigger the wp-cron.

A better solution can be found in the backup buddy wiki:
    http://ithemes.com/codex/page/BackupBuddy:_Frequent_Support_Issues#Scheduled_Events_Fail_to_Trigger.2FUsing_Real_Cron_to_Trigger

    Hope that will help.

You are right. it is not actually this plugin i am using!
I am using Uptime Robot by Brian C. Welch. Apologies for the confusion on my part!
