  • This has happened 2 times so far, each time when the yahoo bot makes it first visit in the morning. When it happens, the site is dead and only way to get it back is to restart httpd.

[client] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/Cache/Apc.php on line 40

each time i bumped my php execution time by 30. it was 30 first, then 60 now it’s 90.

All caching is via apc. anybody else noticed this?

No, this is the first time I’ve seen this issue since releasing the plugin. If you are cashing pages to APC likely with low memory allocation for PHP and low shm size for APC. If you have a single server, cache pages to disk using disk enhanced and probably use preloading if you have a sitemap.xml file for your site.
