It seems there is some sort of race condition. We are getting about a thousand hits a day on our site from iPhones and Android phones. I’m wondering if it is a race condition when garbage collection kicks in?

I’ve received 4 emails today from people on desktops that got served the mobile version of the site, and I’ve been doing tests on http://www.webpagetest.org for the last couple of days, and 4 times I’ve been served the mobile version of the site during a test.

I’m running the devel build from 7/10.

Well I took a look and you modified the default user agent groups, the defaults were fine. You also had settings in preview that were not deployed. I disabled preview mode and changed your user agent groups and I can’t duplicate the issue.

There is not a need to change default settings unless you’re trying to achieve some specific result.

Thanks! But I want Android and other mobile users to be served the WPtouch also.

Then add those one-by-one. WPTouch will only handle a small set of user agents.

    Thanks. I set it to
    (iPhone|iPad|iPod|Android|BlackBerry|CUPCAKE|dream|incognito|webOS|webmate)
Those all came from the WPtouch docs.
