[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] problem with enhanced mode / .htaccess

    Hi

I installed WP3 Total cache and everything seemed to work fine until i discovered the following…If you could please help me that would be GREAT, as I am only a newbie to WP!

    – When i created the .htaccess for the cache pages in my WP folder, I had to copy a code (<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>…) given by the plugin. But it is actually clashing with my permalinks .htaccess I have in my root folder…the pages are becoming 404!)…

“You’ve selected disk caching with enhanced mode however the .htaccess file is not properly configured. Please run chmod 777…”

I hope i don’t sound too confusing…Hopefully you can help me!

    THANK YOU

Not sure I followed that, but you don’t have to change your WP rules, just make sure that you put the W3TC provided rules above the WP rules and below any other rules you already had.
