Support » Plugin: W3 Total Cache » [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error…

  • I have installed the W3 Total Cache on several of my WordPress sites, and it has worked flawlessly — until I tried to install it on this one:

    http://nhne-pulse.org

    When I tried, it generated the warning below. I just updated to the current version of the plugin today, and it continues to produce the warning below. I’d rather not add code to the wp-config.php page unless it is absolutely necessary (was this code added automatically to the previous sites I used the plugin on?). Thanks for any help you can give me!

    ………..

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    …/wp-config.php could not be written, please edit config and add:
    define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); before require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);
