• Hi,
we updated our wpmu install to the 9.2.3 version and have seen a proper increase in cpu and memory usage. Even though we have a 8-core 32GB dedicated server, this nearly brought the machine to a halt and it frequently restarted 🙁

The Apache memory usage increased 3-fold and the mysql cpu usage increased to 2.5 times what it was before. (load average was usually 4-6, with the updated version it was 20 – 40)

We did not upgrade or change anything else on the system.

Today after playing around with the settings we finally decided to roll it back to 0.9.2.2 and within a minute the load was down to the levels we had before.

    We use the
    – page cache – disk enhanced
    – database cache – memcached
    – browser cache
    – minify – only for html since all other options had some issues before anyway.

No changes had been made to the w3tc settings after we upgraded, except to the .htaccess rules – we updated those as requested after the upgrade.

Let me know Frederick if you need any more details to help find out why this happened.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

    Thanks

Just realized now, it should be “performance decreased” in the title, unfortunately.

A performance increase would be nice though, maybe with the next version Frederick? 😉

Sorry for the trouble, can you submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin please?
