[resolved] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Minify troubleshooting: WP Ajax Edit comments (4 posts)

I have quite a few addons I'd like to minify the CSS. One which didn't work was WP Ajax Edit Comments. Here's what I did:

    1. found the fully qualified URL, there are two, one is http://pwnwear.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-ajax-edit-comments/css/colorbox/colorbox.css
    2. stuck that in Minify: CSS file management, under the 'css' category
    3. saved, flushed caches.

Then I test the live site, and find the little 'edit' buttons that normally appear are no longer.

In this behaviour, is there a workaround?
Without specifying the CSS, the site works fine, and ajax edit comments do too, so I've removed them from the css file management for now.
However, that does mean a few files are not minified.

Is it that minify is simply incompatible with some CSS, or is there another troubleshooting step I should try?

Is it perhaps because these are only available whilst I'm logged in as Admin, so get served different version?

    Should be: wp-content/plugins/wp-ajax-edit-comments/css/colorbox/colorbox.css

Unless there are GET variables in the URL like: http://pwnwear.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-ajax-edit-comments/css/colorbox/colorbox.css?v2.9.1 then use the relative path.

If there's still trouble with minification then the file has some invalidity that makes the minify library have trouble with it. Additional minify engines will be added later, but for now the open source Minify project is used.

Thanks, paying more attention to the GET ? seems to allow me to minify it.
