[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] MailPress Conflict

  • First off….great plugin…love it. Using NGINX with W3TC.

Having a problem with MailPress with SMTP and W3TC.

If W3TC is enabled I cannot send emails….when it is deactivated, emails are processed fine.

I’m using the Test Email in the MailPress settings….sending a direct test email.

Any reasons why this would be happening? I don’t think its a cron problem….something a little more detailed. Would love to get to the bottom of this…

  • Seriously, what does a mail plugin have to do with caching conflict?

What is MailPress anyway? Their website is a wiki, and when I click on “What is MailPress”, it takes me to a dumb history + why mailpress page. Whatever.

On their WP page, 7 page say it’s broken, 3 say it works.

I’d stay clear of such plugins for your sanity. If you need email sending functionality, newsletter functionality, etc, then consider plugins specific to that purpose: Configure SMTP, MailChimp integration, etc.

    Just my thoughts.

What were the errors in the web server error log? I’ve never heard of such an issue.
