[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working.

    hi,
w3tc works fine, thanks a lot for it 🙂

…but: It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working.

i’m no htaccess guru but should
    RewriteRule ^(.*\/)?w3tc_rewrite_test$ $1?w3tc_rewrite_test=1 [L]
http://domain.xxx/?w3tc_rewrite_test not say OK, when calling it? http://domain.xxx/?w3tc_rewrite_test=1 does so.

    in comba. test i get:
mod_rewrite: Not detected (required for Page Cache (enhanced mode) and Browser Cache)

url-rewrite works with other rewrites “normaly” but:

W3 Total Cache: Minify debug info:
    Engine: disk: enhanced
    Cache key: _index.html
    Caching: enabled
    Status: not cached
    Creation Time: 1,243s

i tried it without the <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> – but still no success.

    maybe someone could help 🙂

    thanks a lot

Sorry for the trouble, this is fixed in the development version and a release hopefully coming out this week.

    wow, thanks 🙂

    Hi Frederick,

Version 0.9.2.4 has the same exact problem, 2 months after your comment. Any update on the status of the fix?

My experience with the plugin has been very good for a month or so, and all of a sudden it’s not caching properly, causing the site to run far slower than previously. No other changes that I can think of.

    Thanks!

I also had this error message with W3TC 0.9.2.4. The “Disk: Enhanced” page cache wasn’t working, except for the home page.

In my case the solution has been to fix my main .htaccess file in order for W3TC rules to be before WordPress rules.

By the way, I noticed that using the page cache debug mode invalidates the cached pages when downloaded from my browser, but not when downloaded with wget.

@jmyette, sounds like that’s due to cookies.
