We are using WTC with caching method being disk. It seems to work fine, issues we are having is getting WTC to work with S3.

We are in the process of moving our site from a dedicated box to EC2 and S3 and prior to the move we would like to ensure that WTC is working correctly with S3.

We can confirm that WTC can coonect to S3 fine. It also recognises the bucket we have created for this puprose. We are however facing the following two issus:

    1. When we export media library to S3, only files from year 2009 is copied across. Files from 2010 are not copied. We have tried ‘Force over-writing of existing files’ but does not make a difference. Whilst we can copy files from 2010 manually to S3, we would like to confirm if this is bug in WTC or if we are doing something wrong.

    2. If CDN is enabled then no images are displayed on our blog site, a link is the image is present instead. Even our site logo which is stored in the admin directory does not show anymore. Embeded videos on posts are also no longer present. We have also deleted cache in WP and in the browser but does not make any difference. When we disable CDN then all images are shown on the website.

We are unsure what is causing the about two issues and need help in resolving them.

We would also like to test if WTC could work with memcache, we have memcache installed on our dedicated server. We also be using memcache on EC2. Our social dating application and openx use memcache on our current dedicated server. Could we test WTC with memcache on our server without breaking anything. The reason we ask this is becuase in ‘Memcached’ only appears in ‘Multiple Servers’ heading in caching method.

    Thanks for help.

I would like to provide an update.

I was at a friend’s place and used his computer to view our blog site, noticed that the site logo wasn’t present, icons related to Sociable bookmarking were not there, embedded video was missing and so on. But when I view the site from our office computers we can see all images. We have even changed our DNS server clear all browser cache but we can still see all images. So not sure what’s going on. Please note that CDN option is currently disabled. I am proviing link to one of our posts on the blog site, see if you guys can see all images or not.

It appears that no one may have worked with WTC and S3, if you have, please provide some guidance here.

I have been trying to contact Frederick Townes but with no luck so far.

I am happy to pay a resonable amount to someone who can assist us solve this issue.

I was unable to find this post because it was not properly tagged, I have contacted you by email.

Just discovered W3TC and must say I am very impressed. Thanks for the very effective plugin. It is seriously speeding things up with just page cache, so I’m not so concerned about CDN via Amazon S3, but is a super option to offer and would like to use it eventually… I’m having similar trouble and symptoms as the original poster (theme files like style.css are not loading). If either of you (or anyone) post some more info on what can be done it would be helpful for many and much appreciated. Thanks

@greeenkaos, can you submit a bug submission from the support tab of the plugin?
