I’m already using CF integrated via W3TC, is FTP CDN even worth using? It’d be hosted on a sub-domain, by the way.

That’s not really enough information to give a specific response. In general a CDN and multiple hostnames should be beneficial to site performance.

Does CF mean Cloudfront or CloudFlare? You should only use FTP if you have streaming video or for some reason cannot afford a CDN or don’t need it, but want to set up Parallelization.
