I recently upgraded the version for wp total cache to the latest version. After i did this my site disappeared, i got the "Internal Server Error 500".

I fixed this by removing the cache info in the htaccess file and deleting the db.php, advanced-cache and object-cache.php from wp-content.

However after reinstalling the plugin i cant seem to get all the features to work: -

Page caching is not available: /home/sites/myweddingreviews.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php is not installed. Either the /home/sites/myweddingreviews.co.uk/public_html/wp-content directory is not write-able or another caching plugin installed. This error message will automatically disappear once the change is successfully made

I downloaded the plugin files again and tired to manually copy the files i removed back into the wp-content folder however my site went missing again with error 500.

Any ideas how to get it fully working?

I have had to remove the plugin completely as every time i try to activate it my site gets "Internal Error 500"

I get my site working again by deleting those files in wp-content.

Any help please? Really want to use this plugin as my site is pretty slow!

Did you follow the install instructions on the WordPress plugin page?

What were the actual errors in your web server's error log?
