[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] How to use AWS with sub directories in a bucket

  • How can I setup W3 Total Cache so I can use a subdirectory of a bucket, so instead of saving it to the bucket directly. I would like to put all files and folders into a sub directory of the bucket like

    <bucket>.s3.amazonaws.com/subdir/

Has this been done or is it possible?

No this is not possible. What is the benefit of this?

The benefit is that you are limited to how many buckets you can have and i want to use sub-domains and would like to keep the sub-domains organized under one bucket (directory) instead of making multiple buckets for each subdomain i have. If i have 20 sub-domains this can take 20 buckets instead of only taking one bucket with a sub-directory.

What is the limit of buckets one can have in a single S3 account?

    100 Buckets. Link

Amazon strongly recommends using buckets for many purposes as they are virtually limitless in the amount of content you can put in one, but there is a limit in the number of buckets you can have.

I see @spf13, while that is interesting. I don’t think the “juice is worth the squeeze.” Users can create an account for each site and utilize the account limit # of buckets to suit their needs more easily than I can add the requested support.
