W3 Total cache is an Awesome Plug in. I recently switched to it and I'm really overwhelmed with it's performance. My website's load time has decreased by almost 100 % (it reduced to half of the page load time when I used WP super cache).

    My blog:

I went through the FAQ section, this forum posts and other blog posts and configured W3 total cache. It's working fine. But I think I could not configure Minify options correctly and hence there is more scope of improvement. So here are a few of my questions:

    Query #1
In the admin panel in Minify page, when I click "Get minify hints using the HELP wizard", a small window opens and it shows javascript loading animation, but nothing appears in that window. I have edited my 404 page so that it mails me when a 404 is encountered and I received mails which states: "A user tried to go to
http://biswajitdey.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=w3tc_minify&w3tc_action=minify_recommendations and received a 404 (page not found) error. They came from http://biswajitdey.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=w3tc_minify". Why is this happening?

    Query #2
I used Yslow for analysis and it listed the following JS:

    1. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=gzip&load=swfobject&ver=26402cd863f76ec67423423eec3616c0
    2. http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js?ver=1.0
    3. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/themes/suffusion/scripts/jquery.cycle.all.min.js?ver=1.0
    4. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/themes/suffusion/scripts/suffusion.js?ver=1.0
    5. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=gzip&load=jquery-form,thickbox&ver=4d92199c66621dbccf13393d9e24e913
    6. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/scripts.js?ver=2.3
    7. inline script block #1
    8. inline script block #2
    9. inline script block #3
    10. inline script block #4
    11. inline script block #5

Do I need to add all of these in Minify settings manually?

In the same way, it showed the following CSS:

    1. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/themes/suffusion/style.php?skin=style.css,skins/light-theme-pale-blue/style.css&comp=gzip-minify&ver=3.5.7
    2. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/themes/suffusion/rounded-corners.php?comp=gzip-minify&ver=3.5.7
    3. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/styles.css?ver=2.3
    4. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/css/hovereffect.css?ver=1.0.0
    5. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-includes/js/thickbox/thickbox.css?ver=20090514
    6. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/plugins/social-bookmarking-reloaded/social_bookmarking_reloaded.css
    7. http://biswajitdey.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/style/wpp.css
    8. inline style block #1
    9. inline style block #2
    10. inline style block #3

Do I need to add them one by one in Minify setting?

    Query #4
Is this Minify setting same for my homepage and for my other post pages?

I'll be really thankful if someone shows some pointers so that I can correctly set up Minify settings.

#1: Don't know, submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin.

#2 / #3: Yes if the help tool isn't working. Check the help pane or FAQ usage section for tips.

#4: You have to view HTML source of the respective pages and compare otherwise the help tool on the minify page (if it works).
