[Resolved] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality?

  • I’m baffled by the double negative in General Settings: “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality.”

Under General Settings I see “The plugin is currently enabled.” That’s fine.

Then, directly below, I see the option “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality” which is unchecked by default. Since it’s not selected, does that mean all caching is disabled, or is that a typo? It seems to conflict with “The plugin is currently enabled.” directly above.

Should “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality.” by checked or unchecked for normal working functionality?

This is changed in the next release. Ignore the option for now.

Yes this confused me for a while too, but I think it was intended as a master switch that could disable caching without messing up your individual settings. I have not tested it much but glad to hear it will get improvement or clarification in the next update. I think it’s a great idea, I was just never confident I understood it so I left it alone.
