CDN Push or Pull with W3TC ? (5 posts)

I'm using Amazon CloudFront as my CDN, and for a while, I had it set as Orgin Push within W3TC settings.

Through W3TC I uploaded a bunch of files to the Amazon s3 bucket associated with that distribution, and things seemed to be working okay, however everything I read says it should be set on Origin Pull (mirror)

I went ahead and did that, but now I no longer have the option to upload files to s3 and the site doesn't seem any faster or slower.

Should I go back to the Orgin Push? or keep it on Orgin Pull?

Thanks very much for any help

If it works with Origin Push use that until you can get the rest sorted. Recently this guide was published on setting your combo up: http://richwp.com/wordpress-cdn-total-cache-amazon-cloudfront/
Also please send a bug submission form from Support page in the plugin about this issue if its still an issue.

I recommend using Origin Pull with cloudfront and not using S3 with cloudfront or any other origin push method.

    Thanks guys for your replies!!

Frederick, I will try straight up Pull, and see what happens.

I'm in the process now of moving my entire hosting to Amazon Web Services so I'll report back
