I haven’t attempted this but I’m wondering if anyone else could fill me in. Can you sync more data to your CDN then you store locally?

In other words when attachments are cached to the CDN can they be removed from the local web server? Or must you always be able to hold all attachments locally as well as on the CDN?

The ability to cache on the CDN and remove from the local web server would be handy in some circumstances where web server resources are limited.

Does anyone know how W3 would handle this? Must it require both local and CDN places to hold all data?

W3TC is designed to keep original copies of the files locally. If you still have a web host that has disk space limitations you should ask your host to offer competitive hosting packages.

Fair comment, thanks for the answer Frederick. It would be an odd situation to come across in these days of high capacity hosting, but something I was curious of anyway.
