• Hi everyone I recently installed WP3 Total Cache to my site. It all went well but I had a few problems so was wonder if anyone could help.

First off installation went fine but as soon as I installed it I noticed all the video on my site began to cascade all the way down my page. I did check this issue on three browers: Chrome, FireFox and Safari and the problem was consisten on all three.

This problem occurred using version 0.9.2.4 so I tried downgrading to 0.9.2.3 and a similar issue occurred. I have attached a link to a screen shot of what happens:

I have uninstalled this for the meantime so it is currently not occurring but if you have any suggestion to fix this that would be great.

Not sure if the two issues are interrelated but I also found that when I installed this my load times actually doubled and my site was noticeably slower.

Thank you in advance for any support.

    Cheers Michael

To be clear you’re using minify is that right?

Hi Frederick thank you for getting back to me.

I have now reinstalled W3TC and in the “minify mode” selected “Auto.” I also made sure I did not tick the “Minify” checkbox “Enable” and now that problem no longer seems to be an issue.

Although I am wondering if not having the minify enabled makes this plugin less useful.
Do you have any advice on what to do or if there is another plugin that you may recommend in association with W3TC that could help? Or is not having the “minify” enabled an irrelevant issue in regards to site speed that I do not need to worry about?

Really appreciate your help with this.

    Cheers Michael

It’s more ideal to use minify, but in some cases there are incompatible files so manual mode ends up being the way to go. In every release I try to make minify more friendly to incompatible (poorly written scripts), but unfortunately it’s incredibly difficult.
