  • IT does it automajiklly, I too thought it was broken. But so long as you set up the CDN then in the CDN config page on w3tc if you click “Modify attachment URL’s” and type your site in “www.example.com” and hit start it will import everything to your CDN. Then click “importing attachments into the media library” and I chose “Create a list of redirects to CDN (hostname specified in hostname field #1.)”
and un-ticked Create a list of permanent (301) redirects for use in your site’s .htaccess file

I’m not sure of the differences, it’s just the later sounded a bit more permanent to me. Click “start”, then clear the caches, and you’re done.

I also set up a CNAME for the CDN, so I created “media.mysite.com” and then pointed that to my CDN, “sdfjk8923jflkwsde8.cloudfront.com”. Then in w3tc instead of putting the “sdfjk8923jflkwsde8” in front of the cloudfront field I put my CNAME in the CNAME field.

I verified, all web content now comes from “media.mysite.com” using SEO doctor(pingdom speed test) and Yslow.

The main problem is that, when I am trying to import attachments into media library I am getting an error of “//wp-admin/ File type rejected”? Can somebody explain why I am getting this error?

What kind of attachment are you trying to import?
Check so they are added under CDN->Advanced File types to import:

Those with this issue should submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin.
