  • I have used widget cache and w3 total cache with 3 sites for some time. No issues and it does speed things up.

    Thanks

    Does W3TC cache widgets?

    No.

Is this something I should even be worried about?

I think using it demonstrates a lack of understanding of what W3TC already does for you. If there’s something I’m not aware of @bushtool, feel free to advise.

Clearly I don’t have a full understanding of what W3TC is doing for me.

You said that W3TC doesn’t cache widgets but using a widget caching plugin demonstrates a lack of understanding of what W3TC does? How? What does that mean? Are you saying that caching widgets isn’t a good idea, or it isn’t a good idea to do when running W3TC?

Or are you saying “If you don’t know, I’m not going to tell you?”

You don’t need a widget cache with W3TC. If page caching is not enough, object cache should be and database cache makes things complete. More advanced caching types may be added after the final release.
