# [Plugin: Visual Recent Posts] How do I attach the image to a post

 * How do I attach the image to the post so it then shows in the plugin output? 
   Is it a custom field?
 * I don’t actually want this image to show in the post itself – just as as thumbnail
   on a category posts page.

 * The image must actually be uploaded and inserted into the post itself in order
   for the thumbnail to be generated and usable. There is no way to do it with a
   custom field or have it show without putting the image itself in the post.
