[Plugin: Visitor Maps and Who's Online] People online, no online

the footer in my admin panel keeps showing that there are plenty of members of my website online.
But I know the user base of my website (it so small) and there is no way that I have 20 simultaneous users.

I have a feeling that this is highlighting a breach in security and I’m not sure what to do.

    OR >>>

is it that I have multiple tabs open to the same site and am logging in and out with different user accounts.
With the slow caching and return of information, it appears like there are many members on line?

    anyone else get anything similar?
When I look at the “whoose online” in the dashboard, it looks like multiple instances of me.
