[Plugin: Viper’s Video Quicktags] ecto can’t retrieve in 2.8.4

ecto will not retrieve posts when this plugin is activated (in 2.8.4)
It yields the error: “Unexpected data from server. Is the access point correct?”

The access point is indeed correct and when I deactivate Viper’s Video Quicktags, ecto seems to work like it used to. My other plugins do not cause any problem.

I would like to use ecto and Viper’s Video Quicktags since they are great products. Is there a way to fix this?
