    Hello,

Your plugin looks almost perfect for my purposes, but there’s one important thing I need to allow a user to do, but can’t find; I need them to be able to manage which widgets appear on the sidebar of the site, as well as their contents, but not allow them to add, update, or delete plugins from the site. Basically, I want to give them access to the Appearance->Widgets menu option, but not the Plugins menu option. Is that possible?

Additional info; I have everything else under Appearance turned off. They cannot manage themes or theme options, though I would like to allow them to edit custom menus, which I also don’t see an option for. Basically the ideal situation is for the Appearance menu to have Widgets and Menus (only) as options.

Thanks in advance for any help! Very nice plugin!

Widgets menu item under Appearance menu uses the same ‘edit_theme_options’ capability by default. You need to reassign some other (custom created) capability to this menu item to resolve your task. Look on Admin menu editor plugin from Janis Elsts. It allows to change capabilities used by WordPress for admin menu items.
Using URE and AME plugins together you may achieve your purpose.
