I currently have WP 3.0 with UAM 1.1.2. I have used this in the past (0.8.6) with no problems but now I have a problem when we upgraded to WP and the new UAM

When I view posts in the admin side(dashboard), I am unable to see most of them. The counter says I have 30 posts, but I can only see 2 in the list. I am signed into the admin side with an Admin role. If I deactivate the UAM, the posts show up.

Okay, I installed 1.1.3pre last night. It activated and works without error messages however, it doesn’t solve the problem I am having above.

I went back and re-imported the posts from my previous WP instal just in case something imported incorrectly; this seemed to have no effect.

    any other thoughts

Ok very strange. Here a check list:

    1. Are you logged in as an admin or super admin?

If not login as admin or super admin.

    2. How many tables which starts with wp_uam are in your database?

There should be two tables in it. If there are more of them in delete all tables which start with wp_uam (backup before) and reinstall the UAM.

If this doesn’t bring success please set me up a admin login and mail me the login, then I can lock what’s going on and can try to fix this error. Thanks.

okay, I finally fixed the problem… however I don’t know why this worked. I think it has to do with exporting the posts from a WP 2.9.x and then importing into WP3.0. I switched to a new server, so I don’t upgrade the WP to 3.0 on the old server before I exported the posts.

    How I fixed it:

-Renamed all of the old categories and slugs to xxxx-old (where xxxx is the old category/slug name)
-Created new categories and assigned the UAM user group to the newly made category
    – Moved all of the posts from the old categories to the new categories
    – deleted the old categories.

I am still having a problem with UAM (but this is a new problem) that I’ll post in a new heading

    Thanks for your help
