[Plugin: User Access Manager] Getting started (3 posts)

I'm trying to get started with User Access Manager.

I have one access group set up and that's associated with one category. The admin user and the one other user are checked as members of the group.

There's one post in the category I'm trying to protect. It has no references to any files in the upload directory. [The upload directory and its .htaccess file are in a nonstandard location (document-root/uploads). The WP address is http://mydomain/wp while the Blog address is http://mydomain . I have no other plugins installed and everything else is at the defaults.]

I'm logged in as the admin, but I get "Sorry no rights" when I try to access the post.

Any suggestions? And apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious -- this looks like a plugin that provides exactly the functionality I need.

I also tried going back to the default theme and installing the template.php that the docs indicate are optional for 2.8 (at least the way I read them). Same result with both of those changes.

This problem "went away," but then things broke again when I tried to protect a file.
