 * I installed the upload widget and it’s exactly what I needed.. the only problem
   is it only shows up to users using Firefox? IE and Chrome the widget just isn’t
   there?

 * Disregard.. it was a “role” issue. I was logged in Firefox as the site admin
   and that is why it was showing there and not in the other browsers. When I logged
   out it wasn’t showing in FF either. I had to play with the code a little to get
   it to show up for “visitors”. Thanks for a simple but very useful plugin!

 * “BLOGUPLOADDIR” is only set for WPMU in file “wp-includes/wpmu-functions.php”.

   Of course Upload Widget works with WordPress and WordPress Mu. What version of
   WordPress are you using ?

 * Can we have some more explanations about this BLOGUPLOADDIR ? I cannot find what
   to put in this field (it needs some more explanation). WP 2.9.2

 * This looks like a great plug-in but it’s missing any sort of documentation. monpelaud–
   is there any documentation for this any where?

 * Li-An, there was a bug with WordPress 2.9.
    Please test the latest version 1.2
   and give me your feedback. In the field “Upload Path:” you must put the target
   directory from “/wp-content/”. If blank the file is upload in “/wp-content/”.
   For example if you put “videos” in this field the file is uploaded in ‘/wp-content/
   videos/’. If ‘/wp-content/videos/’ doesn’t exist you get an error message when
   you save the widget.

 * For some reason this widget recognized my WP install as a WPMU one and thats
   why its directing to the folder BLOGUPLOADDIR. I changed the destination manually
   in the code.
 * Onto my real concern. How can I get this widget to show up for my friends. On
   my site all the people I trust have “Contributor” status or higher, but they
   cannot see the widget in the sidebar. Only me as Administrator. trizzou implied
   he had a solution but I´m a total newbie when it comes to actual coding. Thanks

 * OK, the new version is OK for the directory but I’ve got an “Chargement échoué!
   Fichier non autorisé” error with 10 Mo max, *.jpg, *.gif for the type and visiteur
   for the authorisation (sorry for my bad english). I’m connected as Admin.

 * Linusf,
 * 1-For the folder, apparently the behavior is not the same according to the version
   of php.
    As soon as possible I will publish a new version (1.3) that correct
   definitively this bug. 2-With the field “Authorized WP Role” you choose which
   role is allowed to upload files. Only this role and admin see this widget to
   upload files. Upload Widget is multi-widget, you have to create so much of widget
   that of roles authorized to download and set the correct “Authorized WP Role”.
   Every role will see only his widget. The admin will be the only one to see all
   the widgets.
 * Li-An,
 * Pas de problème pour l’anglais, car je suis français et mon anglais n’est pas
   terrible!
 * Merci pour votre aide.

 * It’s OK. You were right, it came from the space.
 * It could be nice the admin have more options for relooking the presentation of
   the widget.

 * trizzou what did you modify in the code to make the widget work for visitors?

 * Bammercode,
 * In lignes 142 and 146 replace ‘Visitor’ by ‘visitor’.
    In Widget admin set : “
   Authorized WP Role:” to ‘Visitor’.
 * I will publish, as soon as possible, a new version that fixe this bug.
    Please,
   tell if it works fine.
 * Best Regards

 * Yep, that worked, thanks for helping. I actually looked at those lines and made
   them both capital because the rest of the code was that way, i guess i should
   have tried both lowercase before asking.
