# Plugin upgrade in WordPress 3.0

 * Hello
    I have problem with automatic plugin update in wordpress 3.0
 * In plugin panel I see that one of my plugins have available update.
    So I try
   to update it (automatic update). I write password to my server and begin update.
 * In my browser i see this:
    —————————————————————— Update plugin
 * Downloading updates from [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/si-contact-form.zip](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/si-contact-form.zip)…
 * Extracting the update …
    ————————————————————- And that’s it…nothing more….I 
   can wait 5-10 minutes and nothing is updating….
 * When i go to plugins , I see that I can update my plugin (again ?)
    My plugin
   is not updated …. Automatic plugin update didn’t work… In previous versions of
   wordpress everything works good but not in 3.0 version….

 * Have you tried this more than once. Usually that is a communication problem with
   the server.
    You can also download it from: [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/si-contact-form.zip](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/si-contact-form.zip)
   and upgrade manually.

 * i tried several times.
    Communication with server are ok because my site work
   good, I can uninstall or instal the plugins…
 * I must have a possibility to update automatic my plugins (sometimes update manualy
   are more difficult.
    Sometimes we must edit wordpress files when we update plugins.
   Automatic update is easer….

 * What I meant by communication with server is your webserver communicating with
   the plugins server.
